Hello Andrea:

My husband Tommy and I were fortunate to meet you and your mother for the first time at the AMHR Nationals last year. What a wonderful young woman you are with lofty dreams. Sometimes dreams take a little time to materialize.

In my case it has taken 40 years to begin to achieve the show breeding program we can be very proud of and I’m so flattered the Lost Spoke Ranch was named as one of the farms you admire. Our road to show quality appaloosa miniatures hasn’t been an easy or inexpensive one. I'm sure many considered us “out of our minds†with the insane amount of money we’ve spent over the years (and maybe they’re right), but we can’t imagine our lives without horses and raising quality keeps it interesting and goal oriented.

I agree with many who have advised you here in it takes a great deal of time and patience to finally achieve the goals you seek. Not to mention a huge heart with sticktoitiveness (that’s not even a word) of a primary goal and then following through to obtain it. Stay focused, take your time, and keep sight of your goals, work very hard, and you will get there my young friend.

Karla,

Sorry to steal this thread, but I just went to your website. OMG!! You had me literally laughing like a lunatic. I just love your show-day recount. I'm sorry that the girls didn't behave quite like they should have, but I especially loved the part about how Blessing "started a new routine" that you hadn't practiced...and about how you were literally trying to stuff a treat in her mouth during your class. You have quite a way with words!!

What's wrong with working with 2 awesome mares to take to shows now, bringing out their very best.
