just a note to add, they also did wonders for the gulf coast during Hurricane Rita, both organizations. And that is why I support both rescues.

All the vets are doing up there is passing out meds, and are not giving any instruction, or anything. Plus most of these people are rural, trailers are burned, and they cannot get the horses to any vets. Silvadene is also a great thing for burns. I am unsure how they can even get to a Walmart, but they are determined people.

I am fortunate to be out of this path, but, I will help any way I can. Thanks in advance for any who respond.

I've heard the numbers are in the 10's of thousands. It's such a shame too.

One thing for you guys to remember is these ranches are not in town, most are 30 or more miels out of town and vets aren't just really thick. I'm thinking of them, don't know if corona would work or not. At least they're getting snow now, maybe that will help.

On a side note, I'm in South Eastern NM, if I can help let me know! I'm not too far from 'em.

Regular CREST TOOTHPASTE!!!!! :new_shocked: Many medics here carry that in their kits and my brother in law was burned from a radiator blowing up on him full of scalding water. Two medics came by and covered him in Crest!! It will take out the pain and also he healed without one single scar!!!! After washing it off, it would need to be reapplied but it WORKS!!

We keep it in the kitchen now too in case of burns!!

I don't know how to help, except that I don't think any type of OIL should be put on burns. Check with the vet for a Silvadene cream which is good for burns, or maybe check about furacin cream.

MY prayers are with you all.

This is what I was going to mention re: oils AND the Silvadene...that stuff is awesome !!!!
