First Foal

I have an 8 year old Mini mare. She was with our stallion all last spring, summer and fall. I noticed she had a big pot-belly a couple weeks ago, so i kept and eye on her. Her back end is all stretched out and all the signs are pointing to that she should have it in about a month. Thing is, shes not all that round like a lot of minis would be. Ill show some pictures here. My question is, do you think shes actually pregnant?

All mares carry differently. I have a couple mares that are HUGE and then a couple that you wouldn't think were pregnant but they are.

So....you cannot know for sure. She does look pregnant to me by the way she is carrying her belly though.

Yes....I would definitely keep checking her bag. If she starts bagging up I think that's your answer! But, rarely we have had a tricky mare that doesn't bag.
