I am in need of new barn cameras for foaling. I have been using Lorex 2.4 g wireless camera system the past 3 years, but last year, most times I could barely get a picture, and many times just audio. I think they are just worn out. So I need something new.

My barn is metal. It is about 300 feet from my house. I put the reciever in an upstairs window where there is a straight shot for reception.

I checked out the two companies that marestare recommends on their website, but just about fell over when I saw the prices of the wireless camera systems for 1 camera let alone 4 cameras. I am sure they are just surveilance cameras, and can probably be purchased for a much better price elsewhere if I knew the brand name, model number, ect. I really need a system that will penetrate the metal barn walls and roof, and the 300 feet distance to the house, so looking at a 1000 foot model or better.

So I am wondering what brands everyone uses, how they work, where you purchased them from, if your barn is metal, distances to barn and house, etc.

I have thought about hard wired cameras as well. Is there a way I can set up 4 wired cameras in the barn, and only have to run 1 cable to my house? Has anyone ever done this, and if so, where did you buy the cameras, supplies, etc.

Any input would be appreciated as foaling is about a month away. Of course money is always an issue so trying to find the best system I can for an afforable price. Thanks for any help and advice.

Try this site, I got several of the pro series for inside the barn, (wired) You do have to buy a seperate lense but all in all lots cheaper that most places, and my outside ones are the night cams, they do have wireless also. They have the cable, RCA adapters everything you will need to set it up to your TV/VCR,

and good service.

Hope this helps
