It is brilliantly clear out tonight stars are putting on a show. There will

probably be frost on the punkins in the morning. This will be our first

frost of the fall.

Moon looks full and there is a star showing so clearly just below it.......

Is that still Mars showing????

And what about the brilliant white star down to the South?

As dusk first hit it was so very bright - what might that one be?

nancy...you read my mind!!!! I was thinking just the same thing last night about that star to the south.....me and hubby were talking about it. I have no idea what it is, but it sure has been bold and bright these last few days!

Mars shows here on our farm as an amber star just to the far left of the moon. I'll be curious as to what the seasoned stargazers have to say.

We were just looking at that last night and wondering what it was! It sure is bright!!

The bright 'star' to the south is probably Venus. Its more S-SW here. Mars will rise like that for a few more days. Neat huh? We are also in the path of the Leonids ( meteors) right now, which are best visible pre-dawn. If you follow this link you can be set up for email alerts at to what you can see.

OK Venus then.........yes it could be a bit of to the Southwest. Cool thanks!

That's an interesting site.....don't think we're going to see and meteors soon,

fog is supposed to come in tonight :-( Last night and Monday night were brilliant though!!
