It is getting closer and closer to showing season and I need help. Both my daughters' ponies have frizzy manes and forelocks. Bushy almost. I was wondering what your preshow routines are with your frizzy maned horses. We usually bathe the night before as we leave early for the shows in the morning. In the past I have washed and rinsed with shampoo, applied colestoral (sp?), left in while I washed the rest of the pony and then rinsed and applied cowboy magic detangler. It was still frizzy by the next day. Is there something else I should be doing? I have a slinky for my older daughter's pony, would that help tame it some?

There's something you can get at Sallys called Moisture Max and it works really well with calming hair down..you don't have to rinse it out and it isn't greasy.

I use a lot of hair gel :bgrin I also found another people product, it's a roll on gel kind of looks like a deorderant. It works very well too. All are safe but remember to rinse out good when your home from the show as to not dry out the hair. Also if the I thin the manes and foelocks when shaving. Joyce
