Thanks Marsha! My morgan x pony gelding was a medium bay with a black and grey flaxen tail and when he reached a certain age, mid twenties, he became very dark. We never could decide his true color, maybe silver bay, IDK. He was always a "bay" on his coggins test as it was the best we could come up with.
I have pictures of him and my mom swears it's not the same pony. He still had shiney coat but it was almost a liver chestnut.
Chandab thanks for reminding me its a poll. Been calling it a knob or worse (that "lump between his ears") forever. My mom always used call it their "smart bump" too, the bigger the bump the smarter the horse.
