I would have preferred to do this last week but a ) the rain and cold kept that from being possible and b ) I procrastinated sending out my blades for sharpening so had nothing to clip with!
Our first show is next Sunday so I was out of time. Today was the day or we weren't going to be ready. I'm really proud of how well she behaved and how well I managed to not butcher her too much this year. I plan to go back over her with a #15 blade by Wed/Thursday. This clipping was done with a combination of #10 blades. 1 wide and two normal width....swapping out as they would get hot. Because of the weather, I had to do this without bathing. I know that's not optimal. Now to watch the weather gauge to see when and if she's going to need a blanket (likely when, not if).

We also have some work to do on her face but we'll work on that again mid week as well. I wish she'd remain gray and dappled. She is my absolute favorite to "unwrap" each year.
