Hello All,

I think I've been having forum withdrawls lately since I started my new job, so when I was outside this morning I snapped a quick picture of Gage and one of my other dogs, Sparky.

For those of you who don't know Gage is a dwarf. He was born March 31st., 2005.... He is doing VERY well and is always into something. Smart doesn't do this little (?) guy justice!

This morning. Sparky is about 25 lbs., very stocky and I assume he's a Pug/Beagle mixed 'thing'....

Awww I remember Gage.....he's such a sweet little thing. I'm glad to hear he's doing so well!! I was beginning to wonder where you were keeping yourself...had'nt seen you in a while!!

Gage will turn out smart as a whip. GS are incredibly smart. He is so pretty too and seems to like Sparky a lot.

In my years of breeding GSD's I did have a pituitary dwarf They just happen sometimes

I gave him to a wonderful couple who worked with me with their full understanding of his condition He had his problems along the way but lived to be 14 with excellent care

Also I teach a therapy dog class and in my latest class there was a dwarf GSD he is adorable and his only problem so far is scaly skin & poor coat quality we are having her take him to an excellent vet, change his diet & start on frequent medicated baths He is so sweet and will make a great therapy dog I feel many times dogs that have medical challenges make great therapy dogs as long as they are suitable They seem to know they are needed Good luck with your little guy!
