[SIZE=12pt]It has probally been 4 to 5 years since he has been shown. Heartlands Miracle After Dark is a 2000 Amhr Res. Nat'l Champ. He has produced an Amhr Res. Nat'l Champ. and He is a son of Martins Boozer After Dark. Well not that many people know him so I decided to recampaign him this year as a 10 year old. He is supposed to show in Glen Rose Texas at an Amha show on Sunday in the under 28". Not sure how he will do alot of the older stallions can not compete with the 3 year olds. But I know it will be alot of fun! :risa8:

I think that's great.

He's already done some really good things so you'll be free to have some fun with him. I don't think that it takes anything away from his reputation if he gets beat after 5 years away from the ring. On the other hand, if he does well, that'll just be icing on the cake. So, you have nothing to lose.

I think it's a positive thing for the breed to show that these little guys can still look good at 10 years+. I've heard people question what happens to some of these pretty young show horses a few years later. A healthy Senior horse that can still compete in the show ring is one that stands as an example that they can keep what they've got and not fall apart.

Good for you and good luck!

Good luck! I just love seeing the older folks coming out of retirement. Just because they have a bit of age on them doesn't mean they don't still have it. Enjoy yourself...and don't forget that camera! :bgrin

Have fun and good luck at your show!! I know it is exciting going to the first one for the year. His son "Ringo" and his grandson "Wildman" wish him lots of ribbons :saludando:
