I got my 2 little fillies today!!!
They seemed to have a good first day. Misty and Josie stayed calm and enjoyed running, playing and eating some clover and grass. Little Josie (6 month old dwarf) followed Misty (6 month old) everywhere, they have been stablemates since they were born. When it came time to tuck them in for the evening in their stall they didn't want to enter their new barn!! Well it was feeding time so with some patience, and a little time I lured Misty in with her feed. Next it was Josie's turn, they both kept calling each other but Josie was being really stubborn. So with a little help from my hubby and a little push from behind in she went. Just checked on them, they both looked calm and were just standing in their stall. I gave them a nice deep bedding of pine shavings but they were not laying down yet. Maybe they will sleep standing until they are completely comfortable in their new home. I tried to post some pictures from today but it kept giving me an error saying the file was too big??? I used the same photo program I have used to post here in the past but it wouldn't work on any of the photos from today. Not sure why????? I will try again tomorrow on day #2!!
