I bought a wagon. I have been looking for months and man they are high. I found one today and think i got a awesome deal. You will never guess what i paid for this

I got the wagon, another harness, the mini that pulled it and her baby thats 2mths old.

The mare drives really well and so laid back. I got her and the baby for Sydney. She likes her wont ever replace Tweety but she really like Cinnamon sticks. She namd the little filly strawberry shortcake. The lady we got Tweety from offered her and the baby to Sydney because of her losing Tweety. She also said had a wagon doesnt use will make me a great deal and i think i got one! Here is pics of the wagon and our new family members.

I got ferrier coming out monday I dont feel comfortable trimming the baby and momma needs some work bad. She also has trush on the bottom of her hoof. Im also taking them to the vet monday afternoon to get checked out. The whole nine yards. The jones told me she hasnt been mesed with much over a yr. We hooked her up to cart she did awesome but only let her pull for about 5 min took me longer to harness her then what we did. I didnt want to hurt her. She needs lots of ground work to get back in shape. She still has a baby belly. She was still in pasture with stallion also. The baby is two mths old and that has me worried alittle but thats ok. She gave them to sydney and it was so nice of them to do. Alittle work and she will be back looking good and in shape. The baby hasnt been mesed with at all. Took Sydney and i all day to get baby calm down enough to actually let us walk up and touch her. This morning she is so different. She actually let me walk up to her with out using momma to get a hold of her. Lots of work but there going to be perfect. It was so nice of the jones to give her and filly to Sydney i never expected that at all.

I have four big horses. One is at trainer will be there for another 60 days. Then will train him on barrels. Then my stallion is breeding my barrel mare then im sending my stallion to my dads farm and Daddy is going to keep him and work with him. Doc is a handfull for me and with the girls i worry about them. He would never hurt them on purpose. He is a big dog but he is still a stallion. My dad has been asking for me to move him to his farm so he can keep him so i finally said yep i will bring him there. Im running out of pasture and my dad had 350 ac. for him to be head of the hill i only have 10 and my dad has a stud stall i dont and im always fixing my stalls when he gets in his moods to get out. Then i got my four minis now. so seven in all. I think we are done! But it was just the fact my hubby said it I had to laugh and say yeah ok. But all seriously im going to try not to get anymore.LOL

Thanks and yes Cloud is my now most favorite. He is four and what a baby he is. So SWEET!!!! Oh and he is my fav color. His feet are perfect and has been really babied all his life. he will continue that here. Only one bad habit he paws really bad when he eats and flips hi pan over so i took a feed bucket and hung it up thinking that will stop and NOPE he still paws just the ground. He paws a whole in the stall. Dont know how to stop that. Any suggestions????

The wagon was covered in dust and hay we cleaned up and put in shop when we got home. It had spider webs all over it so they NEVER used it tires are still new. Anyway i have to tell we paid $200 dollars for the wagon. She told me 200 and 50 for her harness I was like OH HECK YES!!! She smiled said i knew you had been looking and its not used so heres you a deal. I hugged them i was so happy! I have to say the people i got Tweety, Robbie and now these two are good people. They told me they dont have any kids near here and i always call and send them pics of my kids and over the last yr they have come close to my family. They feel like we are there close family. It made me cry. They are good people just have a bunch of minis I think they have over 50 head. Thats alot for two people alone. It takes me two hrs to get over there but if they needed me i would be there in a second. I told them that also.

It sounds like you have made a long lasting friendship with these people...that awesome. Yes you did get a good deal...sort of sounds like howie mandel!

Congrats on your new additions! Sounds like you have made some lasting friendships, too - that is so good!

GREAT deal.

Put a mat under the area where the horse paws. Will keep from having holes, not necessarily stop the pawing

Yep, put a rubber mat down under his feeding station to stop the damage to his floor and hoof, and then work on the habit itself. For a horse who paws demanding his feed I'd say to make a point to wait as long as it takes for him to stop, even for a moment, then give him his feed. He never gets his dinner by pawing. Unfortunately your guy does it once he already HAS the feed!

The colt I got pawed as he ate from the anxiety of having been stalled with another horse who might shove him away from the grain but stopped after he got used to the idea that the horse next door was never going to be allowed in his area when they are eating. It took about six months during which I first let him settle in then got him used to being approached and handled while eating and then gradually started gentle verbal admonishments when he'd start to paw and praised him when he stopped. I'm not sure if those techniques would work with a determined "I'm making a statement!" pawer but that's what worked for my anxious one.

Thank you for posting this new, happier ending! Sounds like the perfect win-win situation for all. Bet you will have a ball with that wagon... what sweet people your friends are. You and your family must be mighty special for them to do this for your Sidney.

All but one of my horses paw in some fashion or another. After doing some reading, I found that this is very common and the worst thing they're doing is creating some minor shallow spots.. Pan type buckets would NEVER work here. I do hanging buckets but have a couple who like to put them until they get them to dump. It's not an every feeding situation and I'm usually in the vicinity (I wait for them to finish and collect the buckets to put them away), so I just stand nearby and do grumbling "NEHHHH" to get them to knock it off.

That *is* a great price for that wagon!
