2008 Model, refurbishing underway, not well-maintained by previous owner but all parts still in working order, just needs a little TLC and will work like a charm!
Meet Dobby (prounced like Bobby). She was at a kill shelter about an hour and a half from my home. She's been doing nothing but having litter after litter in her short life but now she's been spayed and is ready to keep the riff-raff away from my farm. I visited her on Friday, along with a friend of mine who trained guard/attack dogs for the military for many years. She now breeds/handles Havanese (they actually are the owners of "Buster" and if you're into Havanese, you know who Buster is lol) and is just really, really good with reading dogs. She worked with Dobby and then declared her "the one" after we'd looked at others the previous day. I picked her up today and after only a few hours with me she's been a DREAM!
Already alerting to cars going up the street, picking up on the cues from my other dogs about what is normal, what isn't. She's obviously had some type of obedience because she knows "down" and "here" and "no" and is catching on to not jumping very quickly. She and my LGD growled at each other through the fence when they very first met and now they are fine together. However, even with all seeming like perfection, I am keeping a very close eye on her and making sure I'm not putting her in a position to cause troube with any of the other animals. I'm not feeding any of them together, etc. just to be safe for now. But honestly, she seems like a great dog and already is looking to me for guidance. But when my LGD barks, she'll run and stand in front of me and look in the direction of the commotion. I think she's going to be perfect!!! She will look GREAT laying on my front porch in the evenings as everyone drives by on their way home.
I'll be making sure she's clearly on display for all to see!
Without further delay, here is Dobby this afternoon in my backyard. 80lbs of muscle.
