After stirring the pot and calling the dr.'s office this morning...someone finally called me back!

I have no broken bones, fractures or disconnected joints. She said if I have problems in the days to come to see the dr. because I may have a pulled, strained or sprained ligament....gee ya think? :DOH! I can walk on it ok...it's still a bit sore but that's to be expected.

Just wanted to let you all know! And thanks for asking and keeping up with my saga!

Phew! I am happy nothing is broken but I remember how bad an ankle can hurt and still not be broken. I hope it feels better and better each day!

Thanks for the update!!! We've all been so worried about you -- Gracie and Bug have been asking every day ... "So how is that Sterling feeling? How come Manny hasn't called us with an update??"

Glad to hear it's not broken!!!

Glad to hear it isn't broken.

Since they aren't being very forthcoming :DOH! I will share what I know about sprains......keep it wrapped, and stay off of it as much as possible. It takes about 8 weeks for a sprain to heal. You can now alternate ice and heat if it aches 15 minutes ice 15 minutes heat. I'm not a doctor or nurse....used to be an athletic trainer in highschool

Liz....Manny will next time....I was'nt carrying my cell phone with me the day it happened, but I will be carrying something either home phone or cell phone from now on!

Rori--thank you for that info. I will definitely do that! The keeping off the foot is going to be the hard part, but I will rest it every chance I get. Hmmm maybe that's why it's still swollen some...because I need to rest it more....

:DOH! Whew. That's good but know it will take longer to heal so be good!!!! Listen to Aunt Rori, she spot on!

How did I miss this?

I'm glad it's not broken, but know that it may be more painful this way, even so.

Hope it feels better, soon.

Liz

Glad to hear its not broken, I was wondering about you. Ditto about RICE. I have done it enough with 3 boys! Take care, Kathy

Thanks again you guys!

It's kind of frustrating tho as this morning it's not feeling that great...and I have a Thanks Giving dinner to make tomorrow! You know how it feels when you need to pop a joint? Then it kind of hurts until you pop it and go along your merry way? That's what it feels like.
