I'M SO RELIEVED ! ! NO MORE HAND PICKING THROUGH THE FLAKES BEFORE I FEED ! ! ! Called a local feed store that I use to use about 2 years ago (I thought they were out of business as they were no longer at same location and no sign of them). Well did an internet search for hay in Spring and their name and ph # came up; but under a different name. Well turned out same feed store, different location, still close by me!! He said he had some hay so I made the drive and boy was I glad I did. Bought what I could fit in my little Durango SUV and spouse going tomorrow in the big suburban to get 8 more bales!!
It's the little things in life that bring me joy! ! ! (and Cowboy and Liberty are eating again!!!) They ate the other stuff, but only after I picked through it and took out the straw like stuff and left them the soft hay). Didn't want any emergency vet visits!!
Anyway, I had told ya'll in reponse to "what cha doin this weekend" post that I'd be hand picking throught the bad hay!! But I was wrong!!!
I'm so GLAD ! ! ! ! You just never know how much you should appreciate some things until you can't find them!! (of course the feed store owner was proud of his hay; it was the most I've ever paid @ $7.50 per bale and the bales are not as large as what I normally get.
Anyway, after all my complaining about bad hay, wanted everyone to share in my good news! Wish it were more exciting, like a new foal or new mini, but it's my news and I'm so happy!!
