I have found a difference a lot of time between generic and name-brand foods too, Marty. However, I wanted to say that the peanut butter you are talking about might actually be good. I like to buy Adam's Peanut Butter. Guess what they put in? It is peanuts and a trace amount of salt. When you buy it it is separated but the oil has not been added; it is just naturally there from the peanuts. Peanuts are oily. So, you stir it up and then keep it in the fridge to prevent it from separating again. Those brands you mentioned do have other things added, such as sugar and possibly another type of oil. Check out the label on that "oily" peanut butter next time and see what it really contains. You might be surprised! :bgrin
