Hello,

My name is Shelley and I'm an addict. I am hopelessly addicted to cocoa krispies. Sigh. I've tried telling myself that they are good for me. After all, I eat a GIANT bowl of them, and they have milk poured on top, so I'm getting my daily dose of calcium.

I hide my addiction in the cupboard behind the raisin bran and cheerios. But I know they are there.....calling me.

When I buy them, I hide them in the shopping cart, under the salad.

I've been to cocoa krispies anonymous, no luck so far with that.

I know other people have their guilty pleasures. Why don't you share yours so I don't feel so bad.

This Made me laugh. This is a great topic that should put a smile on everyones face

My name is Ryan and I am addicted to most flavors of ice cream and all flavors of sorbet.

Its even got to the stage that I will (can) only go to the supermarket once a week. Some kind of weird magnetic force pulls me towards the freezer as I do my shopping. It affects my hands the most as before i know it there might be two or three 2litre containers in the trolley.

And the worst part is I can hear them in the freezer at home as I walk past it- "eat me, eat me"

I am addicted to desserts.Almost any kind will do especially anything chocolate.I have never understood while you don't have dessert after breakfast. My motto"LIFE IS SHORT-EAT DESSERT FIRST"

Hmmm, I'm addicted to thrift stores (Goodwill, Salvation Army, etc. etc.). Love a bargain. Probably spend as much or more than if I went to the regular stores in the first place!

I'm addicted to movies/DVDs-especially Disney. And books!

Food??? Love to make desserts! Love my Nestles cookbook!

Ice cream, those break and bake refrigerator cookies, cheetos (which have honestly got to be the worst thing a person can ever choose to eat, but they're soooo good), cinnabon, cheese & crackers with smoked oysters, dounuts, and those deli pizzas at the grocery store.

I have other non-food guilty pleasures, like audiobooks, soaking in the tub (especially with an audiobook), purses (my favorites are Dooney & Burke and Coach, not as well made as Dooney, but stylish, so I'm not crazy high end on the scope of designer purses), zombie movies and cartoon movies, video games, good high thread count sheets on the bed, and I still can't listen to old school punk rock without blasting it -- no matter how many, many years I've been 29yo.

Phew, thank goodness I only have a couple guilty pleasures

oreos

I can go to a school event and faced with an entire giant table full of home baked cookies and cakes and there on that table is a someones contribution of a package of oreos. double stuff . It was the only store bought treat on the table.

I admit to not giving the other baked goods a second glance before I opened the lonely package of oreos myself and took a few for my dessert. When I went back to the table to get more more, only the oreo bag was empty and the rest of the cookies and cakes were still there on the table... obviously somebody else there that night was an oreo addict because with the mountain of fresh baked goods, the oreos were the first to go.

I hardly ever buy them any more because I have it "real bad" for oreos and I try to limit myself for special occasions. If one of my kids have a birthday they get a package of oreos in their lunch that day and I celebrate their birthday with a few oreos for myself of course.

My friend always makes me an oreo cake or oreo pie for my birthday. LOL observant friend.

I know they are awful for you... I know folks would shudder at the ingredients... but, oreos are good fresh or stale, whole, split in half or soaked in milk...

Did you know if you are feeling sad you can pour the small oreo cookies in a bowl, cover them in milk and eat them with a spoon like cereal?

Always hesitant to smile big after eating an oreo, those oreo teeth are hilarious.

I was disappointed in the cookie dough stuffed oreos. I enjoy original, but those double stuff oreos will sugar you up for days and guaranteed to push the needle up on the bathroom scale.

HAHAHA, this is a funny thread.

I also have it bad for dogs, but you all have already heard that many times from me.

Honey roasted peanut butter. All I need is a spoon but slicing granny smith apples, or any apple for that matter, and scooping the peanut butter on the slices is my pleasure. Might sound healthy BUT one can have too much of a good thing. I once won a contest to see who could eat an entire jar of peanut butter the fastest. If I do not ration out the amount I intend to eat, the whole jar will be gone in a few minutes.

My biggest weakness is probably Coca Cola. I want a can with every meal and with snacks too. My day seems incomplete without it and I admit it is very much like an addiction. I limit myself (as much as my will power, or lack of, allows) to one can a day and try to have it at lunch because the extra caffeine now keeps me awake at nite. There is nothing in it of nutritional value and I know I should give it up entirely but I just love the stuff. Makes every meal taste better in my opinion. I could easily do the taste test with another cola and choose the coke. I can even identify whether it came from a large plastic bottle, smaller plastic or glass bottle or a can. Each tastes different and fountain cola is just not acceptable at all.

Other than that I could easily be a harness hoarder ( and maybe the horses to go with them) and have more dogs than was reasonable if I could only afford to lol

and finally, my most secret pleasure (everyone knows I love coke and I am forever lending harnesses and parts to friends/family/acquaintances) is old tv shows like The Waltons and Little House On The Prairie and shows about the supernatural.

Butter, definitely butter. But im still in denial about it because I cannot seem to admit that I use too much. My husband swears im eating it by the stick because we are ALWAYS out of it. He says he is going to get me a churn so I can make my own. Once my brother put a stick of butter on a popsicle stick and gave it to me for a present because I put butter on EVERYTHING. I think its because I am a carb queen, bread, rice and pasta are my go to foods and they taste better with butter. Chocolate is a close second as homemade fudge is my favorite. Of course, my recipe calls for a pound of butter....

Unfortunately I am a smoker (difficult to admit since it's so taboo and for good reason). I wouldn't consider tobacco a guilty pleasure but more like a nasty habit.

Beer, bud light from a can, poured in a glass with a pinch of salt. Fireball whiskey and Salty dogs (vodka and grapefruit with a salted rim). I do consider these guilty pleasures since I'm not an alcoholic, at least I don't think so. ;).

Cheese, any kind on anything and lots of it. My husbands Venison Jerky (with beer and cheese is to die for)! Salt and vinegar potatoe chips but only certain brands. Snyders is my favorite brand but I can't get that here in MI so when we go to visit relatives in PA I stock up on a few bags (I don't care if they get stale or outdated). I will eat wise and better made brands but I prefer snyders.

Things that don't go in my mouth = purses. I am a purse snob and love designer purses but I will buy non designer too. Nail polish, a new color comes out I have to buy it. Bathing suits, I probably buy at least a dozen a season but always wear the same two or three. Dangly earrings and bracelets, expensive or costume, it doesn't matter. These things confirm that I am a woman because I am not girly at all. Also books, I love to read. Handguns, I am fascinated by handguns and have a few, I love to target practice and I take it very seriously. Fishing, I love to fish and salmon fishing is my favorite. One of my most memorable times is when I landed a 45 lb King, I fought it for almost 30 minutes, so much fun!

I'm sure I could think of many more, but those are probably my top favorites.

Well, I just polished off a creme filled chocolate cupcake washed down with a diet coke - go figure - but it is 15 degrees outside and was in the barn with the farrier for two hours - that has to be worth a cupcake

I love the darn things!

Chocolate bars, chocolate cake, dark coffee, eclairs, and real fruitcake - the kind with lots of real fruit, nuts, and brandy/rum/ or sherry. This is a seasonal treat and I look forward to it every year!

Thrift shops and.... purses

Oh my wellll.... Oreos, little Debbie's....
default_smile.png
when ever my family gets them I stash them. Kinda like a squirrel before winter... Im preparing for the end d of the world. Lol

But really everyone in my family hides both when ever they see them. So mine usually end up in the old grandfather clock
default_smile.png

Now I gotta change were I hide my stash

Edit: forgot to add. When I was waiting for my friends mare to foal, I was crazily eating little Debbie's and oreos...O:) lol and that was several days up all night, stuffing my face. I really am an addict. Although my friend brought whales. They are kinda like goldfish. Except way better! They are crazy good. Kinda like in twilight Edward tells Bella that she is his own brand of heroin.. Well whales, oreos and little Debbie's are mine. Guilty as charged.

!!!!! So excited now I gotta get me some oreos :p

CHEESECAKE--big, fat huge slabs of it; washed down with some milk.

The husband likes Fruity Pebbles. Unlike you, he doesn't "ingest" the milk. ...it always irritates me that he pours the milk in my compost bucket.

AngC, I was on vacation once and there was a vendor selling....wait for it......frozen cheesecake slices on a stick, dipped in chocolate. OMG. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. It was so good. And it was my favorite kind of cheesecake, really heavy and dense, not light and whipped.

It might be worth going back to New Mexico just to get another slice of that.

1 of my favorite guilty pleasures is a fried peanut butter and jelly sandwich only available at our state fair in late July.Good thing it is not here everyday. It is a pb&j sandwich dipped in funnel cake batter, deep fried and covered in powdered sugar. The best of 2 worlds.Another of my guilty pleasures is anything pumpkin.Had pumpkin ice cream this week and Baskin Robbins has pumpkin ice cream&I had a milkshake a few weeks ago.Pumpkin is very good for lots of things just not when I step on the scale.

DixieBelle, this summer we went to a local steam engine show called the rough and tumble located in Kinzer pa. and the guy was selling frozen cheese cake dipped in chocolate served on a stick. I bought my son one. It looked awesome.

I bought the frozen dipped banana but have been dreaming of the cheese cake ever since. If it was oreo cheese cake it would have been even better ... hahaha.

I really love banana ice cream too.

Sitting in bed this morning having woke up early and hungry (who wouldn't want to eat a tortilla wrap with a little leftover meatloaf and melted Laughing Cow cheese for breakfast?!?), I'm listening to H and the dogs snore away while indulging in a non-meatloaf related guilty pleasure. REALITY TV. It's Chrisley Knows Best this morning!!! I am hooked on some of what are probably the worst reality TV shows. I could binge watch them for hours!!! . And FYI, cheetos go mighty fine with an early morning meatloaf wrap breakfast!!!
