Two nights ago we got a phone call. First on my cell, I did not answer it beacuse I did not reconize the phone number. Then almost immediately the house phone rang. Still did not reconize the number, but answered it anyway. On the phone was a gentle mans voice,"Is this Rockin R Ranch" yes it is can I help you? "Is this Theresa Renninger", yes it is, can I help you?? "The Theresa and Art Renninger that just laid Gunny to rest", I sat for a moment, don't know why but I was afraid, and I said yes very softly. He said God Bless you for what you did for that poor little horse... He said "Are you there", yes Sir I am here. He was VERY vauge on who he was, he said it did not matter, all that mattered was Gunny. He asked me about Gunny, and said he was very sorry for his passing. That a friend had called him and told him to go to lil beg and read my post. As he was talking to me, he was all choked up and had to keep stopping to re-compose himself. He said that he had called his wife at Nationals and they decided that they were going to donate a 9x14x1 Granite memorial for Gunny!!!!! Can you say "
" Both he and I cried!!! After a few times of him calling me, I asked for his name again, he finally gave it to me. This is why I asked for a photo edit of Gunners picture. I emailed them both to 4everinmyheart.com. They will chose one to use. The Angels who did this for Gunny are forum members...located in Texas. I won't post their names "yet" as I do not have their permission. I hope that they do not want to remain unknown. We would like to PUBLICLY thank them...There is a special place in Heaven for these two wonderful people!
I should recieve it in 4-6 weeks..... The next memorial for Gunny... AMHA is going to publish his story in the the Horse Tales section of Miniature Horse World. We are so happy for Gunny to have the recognition he so deserves!
We miss him terribly. His spirt will live on! As we all know, Miniature Horse World magazine is delivered all over the country. Gunny will always be remembered and never forgotten by everyone. The miniature horse community is one that Art and I are VERY PROUD to be a part of.....RIP my gentle ole soul....Mom and Dad.....
