I was at an Arbonne meeting tonight and we were talking about doing a fundraiser for a lady that has cancer, she was doing treatment and couldnt afford it anymore so she had to quit treatment. The fundraiser is to raise money for her to go for cancer treatment at a different place.. Anyway I just got to thinking about my sister, and I just broke down right there.

Some one I know who is very self involved came up and said "are your eyes bothering you" I said no they are tears, she knows my sister has cancer and has surgery in 1 week , but it didnt occur to her WHY I would be teary!! I just keep thinking of my sisters breast cancer and it just got to me...

Sorry just had to vent-I am worried sick about my sister next week...I am amazed at how some people can be so self involved and not get the important things in life..

I can sympathize with you, and know your pain. My youngest brother has non-Hogekins lymphoma, and it was in the very late stages when it was discovered; he had masses of tumours throughout his body. We feared the very worst...but so far...so good...he has gone through the full chemo then on to radiation treatments, and they say he is "clear". (for now?)

Praying that your sister's outcome is a positive one.

Thanks Sue for the kind words. I am glad your brother is doing well and I hope clear for good...

Missy please don't ever think you can't vent to us. Even those of us have not been there can sympathize and wish your sister the very best.(((((hugs)))))

Hi missy,

sending good wishes to your sister & you and I hope for the best for her!! My mother-in-law was diagnosed with stage 3 & 4 breast cancer in February 2006. She had her surgery in March 2006 and I was there for her alot until I had my car accident, taking her to appts and everything. Anyway she had a mastectomy and they removed all the cancer. She then proceeded to have radiation and chemotherapy too along with some drug named herceptin when she finally got off of summer 2007. And I can happily say that as of now she is cancer free and thriving very well She does go for her regular 3mth and 6 mth appts but we continue to get good news and hope to continue too.

I really wish the same for your sister too!! Try to just listen to her if she needs you or just be there and I am sure she will appreciate it. She will go through her high and lows but hopefully there can & will be light at the end of the tunnel!!

I understand the tears and will be saying many prayers for your sister's complete recovery. Sisters are so very very special.

Missy,

Your sister is going to have surgery and then things will get back to normal

Just let those inconsiderate comments roll off your shoulders. We are all here for you and your sister and understand COMPLETELY why you would feel the need to cry. Hang in there

((((HUGS))))) Ah Missy, I am sorry you and your sister are going through this! Have the faith! Ron's brother in law has been battling cancer for over a year and through this I know there are a lot more treatments out there. They have come a long way and he has done some experimental treatments that showed great promise. My heart is with you!

I will keep you and your sister in my thoughts and prayers. ((((HUGS))))

Hang in there Missy (((hugs)))...it will be a rough road ahead, but I really think your sister (and family) are going to pull through this with flying colors. I will be thinking of you all and praying...try to stay positive and laugh as much as you can with your sister, laughter IS the best medicine. Be positive and if you are religious, pray.

Missy,

Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers
