Hello,

I am new to driving, finally figured out how to fully harness, thanks to Youtube LOL! Driving can be confusing.

But anyways, are harness pads necessary to show? I show 4H and maybe AMHR soon..

If they are, where did you buy yours?

Sorry if this sounds dumb, lol, again, Im new.

As far as I know, they are not required for showing. In fact I think most "showers" do without them. Showing is usually on level ground, they don't even use breeching. If you want to get them for pleasure/trail driving, check out Star Lake tack.

Actually I've found more and more people in the show ring are using pads. I don't know the requirements for 4H but I know in AMHR it isn't required. I personally like my show pads from Prime Design. They are not bulky and gives some extra protection and come in nice looking colors.

If you are looking for an actual pad thats good to use all the time I really like Mini Express's therapeutic pads.

I don't show, and don't know any of the regulations for showing. I do, however, do a lot of pleasure driving and I second JMS Miniatures' suggestion of the Mini Express Waffle therapeutic pads. I tried them out this last year for the first time and they are the best I have every used.

I got the mini express pad. It fits HIM nicely, but grr, my saddle is stupid. I dont think I'll be able to keep that saddle, its so frustrating. I think I'll just buy another one, but not a whole harness, because the rest of the harness is nice.
