This is just sickening to think that there are people out there among us, capable of doing such things! A mother dog and her littler of 6 pups were found abandoned along a road. They found a seventh pup in a different area, not far from the rest, but that one never made it to the animal hospital. Upon further investigation, there was an 8th pup found dead in a bag, also with the nails in the head. On the news, they showed xrays of the dogs skulls with the nails embedded in the skulls of the mother dog and a couple of her pups.

People can just be sooo cruel. I hope they find who did this and dont just slap them on the hand. Disgusting

She and her pups are beautiful!!!

This story hurts my heart! People that are cruel to little animals can take a turn and become monsters to people also. Dogs are so forgiving, bless their little hearts.

Just reading your post makes me want to puke. If this person(s) can be found they need to do jail time and be forced to clean latreens by hand every day! Cruelty of this type deserves severe penalty.

Bless those who found and saved them!

This is just horrifying. And the people responsible for this I guarantee have either done far worse in the past or will do far worse in the future. People capable of horrors like this don't just do it once and they don't start at this level. Yes, they have done other things and will do other things in the future. So sad and disgusting.

Anyone that does something like that to an animal should have the same done to them. My reasoning is, They do it and think it is fine. Then they should know the pain and the reality of what they have done.

Sadly people can be so heartless and cruel.

My husband and I have a breed specific 'rescue' of sorts. It's not a bona Fide 501 registered as we pay for things ourselves and

don't ask for monetary donation when we adopt, we tell them a bag of treats or raw hides will be fine.

We have 12 and 8 will never go anywhere.

One is so abnormally hyper (even for the breed) and neurotic. We got her as a 7 month old and in seven short months of life

she has been in 6 different situation the BYB breeder to a puppy broker to a pet shop to family #1 to Family #2 to us. (#3)

One little girl got to go to her new home yesterday afternoon, the older could who adopted her are wonderful.

Need tougher laws for those who abuse or neglect anyone be it an animals, children or the elderly

I read your post and can't bring myself view the link. I have heard that psychopaths start with maiming and killing animals then move to hurtung and killing people. I'm thinking, if they find the person or people that did that they should be put down like rabid dogs.JMO

That is just pure evil. I tend to agree with Erika.

This is why animal abuse needs to punished more aggressively - not just a slap on the hand the way it is now.

I would like to see animal abuse penalties be a mandatory mixture of consequences

Because just punishment alone doesn't retrain a persons thinking.

1) Minimum jail time of 30 days (depending upon the severity) ....The punishment

2) On going counseling and evaluations (not just one) .....The psychological help needed

3) Community service at a shelter under supervision ...... The retraining and rethinking

4) 2 yr min probation ........The supervision and prevention

But with this? How sick a person must be to keep shooting off a nail gun when you hear the cries of agony of the poor dogs.

Some people think a person should endure the same punishment but I don't agree cruelty for cruelty.

For this person if I were a judge I'd do 1 yr jail (with counseling), 5 yrs counseling with twice a yr evals, 20 hours a month community service at a shelter for 2 yrs

and 10 yrs probation. Whoever did this is ONE SICK PERON

They said a conviction could bring a maximum of 5 years in jail, and I would sure hope that due to the severity of these actions, they would prosecute to the maximum allowable by law!!

Yeah but the max may not be given and if caught and convicted they may get off with just 2 or 3 and then off for good behavior after a

year or so

But there also needs to be a plan of retraining as well as supervision, counseling and community service after they get out.

Many many years ago (like 25 yrs ago) I was a state correctional officer and the % of repeats was shocking.

We can't expect to lock people up and not re educate, counsel and supervise and then expect them to tow the line.

Action like this take either a VERY sick person or a VERY evil one.

If they do this to animals they're more prone to do it to people also.
