Well, on a whim we decided to. My kids are 4 and 2. My son, the 4 year old, had no credit, as we expected. However, my daughter who is only 2 had some things on her credit report. Now she has fraud alert on there and we have fixed things. I am glad we checked.
Kids are the fastest growing age group for identity theft, pretty scary. As if as parents we did not have enough to worry about.
