I just made some cookies and thought of you all so here is the recipe. My Great-Grammy used to make them when I was little.

Jello Fruity Cookies

(NOTE: these are very doughy and roll into balls like playdough!)

1 1/2c soft margerine

1c white sugar

1 pkg any flavor jello

MIX THESE TOGETHER

ADD

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla

MIX TOGETHER

ADD

4c flour

1 tsp baking powder

Mix it all up, a stand mixer is super!

Roll into balls and place on a cookie sheet (you can fit 15), bake at 375 for about 12 mins

Sometimes (like today) I roll them in sprinkles before baking and when I pull them out I put a chocolate wafer (kiss) on top.

Really rich and different. Bye

Yup got the leaves today. Oh how I love that smell! Will be smudging next week.

As for the onion soup recipe..here you go!

Debbie's Kick A@@ Onion Soup

several large yellow onions cut any way you like, I like slivers.

2 sticks of BUTTER

melt the butter and saute the onins til tender, add:

Beef stock 8-10 cups(as much as you would like to have soup) I make a ton and I have bought the canned swanson brand

1 BOTTLE of red wine (yup the entire bottle if you're making a big batch

tiny bit of curry powder, just a pinch

Cook the dickens out of this, this put some in a bowl, lay a thick slab of bread on top (we like pumpernickle), COVER it in cheese. We like swiss or mozzerella. Broil til bubbly serve with some warm crusty french bread and some nice red wine!!

Super easy and oh so yummy!

Debi, is it true? Are we really moving on up?????

Oh please tell me you are going to have Thanksgiving Dinner UP in your new kitchen, please???????

Pictures are a must.

How about that baby in your avatar huh? How cute are we?

Congratulations, Debi! I agree with Marty...we must have photos!

I'm going to try your yummy French onion soup recipe (minus the curry powder...allergic...)

I love cooking with wine -- although not much of it ends up in the food!
