Now you know why I'd rather stay in the stall while at horse shows.

I have known several people who travel with large cans of lysol. Guess I will too now. Yuck.

Ewww!

I've never thought about that one, thinking back to countless times I've used their glasses.

I wont walk on the carpet there without shoes but never thought about that.

Hotels are disgusting.

Of course, think of anywhere.... A friend worked at a restaurant for several years and as practice they only rinsed silverware to clean it.....

OK......as many of you know I travel quite a bit with the horses. We usually stay in very nice places too.

One thing I have learned is NEVER USE THE COFFEE MAKERS in the rooms. Let's just say that one of the girls that work for us went to use her coffee maker and found that some man "did his thing"

(and I don't mean peed or pooped) in the part you pour the water in.

THAT CURED ME! Starbucks/Dunkin Donuts here I come! Other than that.....THANK GOD we have not run into too many problems.

Don't even want to watch the video.

And where are the coffee makers as a rule?? In the bathroom...........aaackk.

I didn't watch the video, have seen 20/20 specials on the subject and that was quite enough thank you LOL.

Always try to take in my own bottled water rather than use cups/glasses provided. Lots of hand washing too.

At the Comfort Inns that we have gone to the glasses are all plastic and wrapped. I have not seen glass glasses in the Hotels we stayed in thank goodness. As for the coffee maker....I'm not a coffee drinker. But the one morning that hubby was preparing to make coffee....the maker would'nt work!!

Thank goodness for that!! I usually bring my own wares and such when traveling.

The hotel I stayed in during my state horse show was by far the worst we're stayed in, and it was $130 a night. I have stayed in $30/night hotels that were nicer. The first problem was they lost our reservation, Luckily my mom printed the conformation, then they gave us a non cmoking room when we already paid a smoking deposit, our first room had mud all over the carpet and the toilet didnt flush. The maitenance guy said something about a pipe rusting through. Then they moved us to a different room, it wasnt smoking, but the guy said noone would know. Well, the chairs had black stains all over then, there were holes in the ceiling, drafts around the windows, pubic hairs all over the shower, mold on shower walls, a broken coffee pot, and there was a big crusty white spot between my blankets. My mom travels with lysol and bathroom cleaner, and we cleaned the room up as good as we could. I ended up sleeping on the floor the first night and my mom personally watched the house cleaning wash blankets for my bed....ended up taking pictures and sending them to the corporate office of that hotel. They offered us a 45% discount at a future stay within 1 year....what a joke. They made a few hundred off of us, they should have REFUNDED atleast half of it.

I always take paper towels, coffee filters, coffee, spoons, mugs, cream, sugar, and our OWN coffee maker from home! Now I'm glad I do!

I'm not going to watch the video. I can imagine what's on it!
