Has anyone ever used the nylon harness? If so, do you like it?

Which nylon harness? Generally they are a complete waste of money as they almost never fit right, get stiff when wet, can chafe the horse and rarely have any sort of channel over the spine to distribute weight comfortably.

Ditto. Buy quality, cry once.

I too dislike plain nylong as it does get stiff, and will chafe.

I do, however, LOVE the new betathane (bioplastic covered nylon) harnesses.

I love the nylon harnesses! But, just like leather harnesses, there are good ones and bad ones. I've seen some cheap, flimsy ones that didn't fit anything. I've got a nice nylon harness that I've had for almost fourteen years that has biothane trim and fits great. The saddle is as nice as any quality leather harness and it has betathane reins. I have used it a lot, from training and trail driving to local shows. It's very easy to clean, just hose it off or put in in the washer on gentle cycle! I don't mind the plastic coated biothane on trim, but I don't like the entire harness out of biothane. It is much too stiff. Betathane, however, is softer and more pliable. It feels more like leather and makes nice harnesses.
