I wasn't able to hardly get any decorations up last year because, well you know, I
couldn't get my act together and it made me feel too sad. But this year I decided
it would be good to do and decorating always makes me happy so here it is.
It took me about a week to get this done. I haven't had much time but I tried.
Ready for the grand tour? Here we goooooo
OK first here's the kitchen table. We've had it for 22 years and it's falling apart (sigh)
and we'll get another one eventually. This is the hub of the house where everyone
meets and sits and yaks and eats and eats and eats.
Now we're in the living room and I've got lots of stuff in here.
Just about everything I've got has sentimental meaning.
This is a bunch of scarecrows on my piano. The little pumpkin
to your left sings. CyndiM brought it to me a few years ago when
she came for a visit.
This is the media cabinet under the television where we keep our video
stuff and movies.
And the little credenza. I have about 300 candles stored in it.
My little shelf that is over the couch and my wishing well.
Here's more shelves. Yea, I got a lot of shelves in the living room.
The top one has Michael's little pumpkin beanie on it. I dressed him up
like a pumpkin for his first Halloween. The little toy Dracula next to it
was his too. It talks and says Happy Halloween. He couldn't say that when
he was a baby so I just had him hold the thing and squeeze it when we went
trick or treating in his stroller.
More shelves
and the end tables on both sides of the couch
have little flowers
Ready for a walk outside? Ok. This is the front entranceway.
I planted mums but you can't see them yet. They haven't fully bloomed and
for some stupid reason I planted them behind a bush.
This is the front porch with guess who?
The pumpkins light up and I have a few strands of pumpkin lights
going around the top of the porch, but they are not connected yet.
I had Amy dressed festive a little bit but she
tore everything off. What a brat. So I gave up and at least she agreed to "stay"
for her first annual Halloween picture. Just wait till I get her costume!
Now you are in my backyard and here's my infamous gas tank cover.
There's mums in the wheel barrow but they dont' look like much because
I'm thinking I may have bought them dead. Maybe they just don't feel too
good but I watered them and hope they will bloom or I just got beat out of
$3.88.
And last but not least, here is my back entranceway to the barn.
I planted a mum here too but it's not dead; it needs time to bloom.
Thanks for coming.
Hope you had a real good time on your visit to the mountain.
