Hello everyone, thank you so much for allowing me to become a member! So new to mini horses, just got my 1st pair last Tuesday they are beautiful & I just love them I'm as natural as I can be with all my livestock & also have 2 mini cows & a mini bull which are currently pastured together along with my 3 Nigerian Dwarf goats! I joined this group to hopefully make sure I raise them correctly, they are 4 & 5 yrs old, mare expecting sometime in May but haven't been handled much from prior owner, but seem to be taking to me quite well..allowing me to touch & pet some I will have lots of questions but to start just wanted to say HI & thank you!

It sounds like you have one mare, is the other also a mare? They are all horse these little guys and you will enjoy them.

& he no longer has this halter on, working with him to get a smaller one on him..its taking a while for him to trust me yet

It sounds like you are taking your time with him and I think that is good, as it gives him time to absorb new routines, people, etc. The old saying, “haste makes waste” certainly applies to horses!

He is a handsome fellow and I love your little chestnut too!
