Thank you all so much for your thoughts and condolences...I simply cannot express how much your messages have meant to us (and for me not to be able to express myself is hard to believe...). I know that in time the sharp, unbearable pain of losing Hillary will mellow into wonderful memories tinged with a lingering, bittersweet sadness; for now, your kindnesses help immensely.

Isn't it amazing how such a small dog can leave such an enormous hole in our hearts and our lives?

Ahhh Susanne,

I am sure you guys are devastated. I believe she wanted to go on her own terms, at home, safe and relaxed. She was a lucky girl and you and Keith were lucky she found you too. I am so sorry.
