Lauren is in the chorus of Oklahoma put on by the Hays County Performing Arts Center. When Curly and Laurie get married, they are pulled away by Little America's Xenon Dimitri, complete with the "Surrey with the Fringe on Top".

Those are nice pictures and that is a wonderful play. But how do you keep the horse from slipping on that floor? Just curious.

Bluebell ~ I was wondering the same thing.

Cute pics Tony, thanks for sharing them with us.

Just walk carefully. We thought about gluing rubber on his hooves, but decided it wasn't necessary. He has done very well through three rehearsals and four performances after we finish two today. Then having a cast party here tonight. Last night when I was unhitching him in a hallway right behind the stage, I was turning the cart around and he was "ground tied" without anything on, and decided to trot off - all the way down the hall, then took a "sliding turn" as he went from the hall into the shop, where I was able to retrieve him! LOL.

That is so neat, Tony! :)

And he is such a beautiful little horse too :)

That is so neat Tony. Do you own the surrey with the fringe on top as well? Was it built specailly for the play??

I loved that movie. Thanks for the pictures.

The cart is a very old cart that I drove as a kid!!! Almost vintage for the show, but the set designer added the top and the decoration, which I thought was very cute, too. Tonight is the last performance.

This is Lauren letting the audience members get up close and personal with Dimitri. She started out in the lobby, but chose to move it outside when he got too antsy.
