Ok I am hoping for 3 foals in 2007

: Due dates May 2007 is the earliest?

Hoping for fillies next year because we are hoping to keep them back for our new stallion.

Last year 4 colts no fillies. So this year is going to be all fillies right :new_shocked:

How many foals are you expecting next year?

We are expecting 5 foals for sure, and possibly a 6th one. We just bought a new mare at the I-90 sale and we are going to have her preg checked this weekend.

Yes let's hope for all fillies this year....we had all colts in 2006. But they are healthy, no foaling problems, etc, so can't complain about the boys we had. We were pleased with our colt crop.

we have never had more then 2 foals in one year

But we are expecting 6 in 2007 2 of them are shetland/mini crosses. im already praying it goes well.

I would say my first possible date would be around the first week of Feb., though last time her due date was Jan. 31, and she had him Feb. 7, so I am guessing mid-February will be the first baby's due date (so hoping for a dark red filly w/a large star, or snip and blaze).

And then my Lailah will be due in late April or early May. Just the two on the way, and that is a good number.

Both are by Kim's big red wonder, Falcon. Hee hee, he was such a good filly percentage, I'm inclined to get my hopes up!

well, i am hoping for one! :lol: my buckskin pinto mare was bred in august, so hoping for a july 07 COLT! i wanna COLT! as much as i love fillies, i'll have to sell the next one, can't part with a filly, so i'm hoping for a colt. i still have to get her preg checked, but i sure hope she is in foal.

oh, and this mare has had three babies before, all colts, so hopefully she'll keep with that trend.....

we'll find out next july!

2 by our piebald stallion - one of which foals will be full sibling to our little filly we are keeping.

We start from May....be good fun as one due May 7th, one due May 8th!!

I have four mares confirmed in foal to deliver in 2007.

Carolina, a Legionaire daughter, has not gotten in foal in four years. She is due January 1, 2007.

Shimmy is due January 1, 2007 also....with her very first foal.

Foxy, a Dark Destroyer daughter, is due February 1, 2007.

Jubilee is a homozygous pinto carrying her first foal. She is due mid-March, 2007.

Calliope was vet checked as open, but she has not cycled any this summer...my fingers are crossed that the vet was wrong, because she ACTS and LOOKS to be pregnant. She would probably be due in April or May if she is.

Possible to have 6 or 7 only one mare confirmed in foal. The earliest would be in April.Always hoping for some fillies.Just hope all goes well and all the foals are fine.

I am expecting 3- well, I'm not, the mares are! Hopefully starting in February/March. Since it is hitting 100 degrees here by late May or so, we try to have them foal early! Doesnt always work though- and my last one will be due in May/June.

I have not gotten around to vet checking all of them, did some maiden mares just about two weeks ago and they were in foal. If most of them settled (I know two of them didn't as I saw them teasing this month and I pulled stallions earlier) then I will have about 20, which is more than normal, I usually have about 12.....but I am VERY excitied, mares bred to my Buckeroo son - Little Kings Big City Buck, my BTU son Little Kings B T Buck Bandito, and then expecting my first foals from my Redboy son and grandson, Cross Country Take My Breath Away............one in particular is my little girl, Erica's Knock Your Socks Off is due Feb/March for her first baby to Taker, so excitied!

We are expecting our VERY FIRST FOAL at the beginning of June 2007!!!! out of

our buckskin mare, Cross Country Y Not Me and our young bay pinto stallion, Fallen Ash

Eagles Legend TYF!!! This will be Y's first foal as well as Legend's.

She was ultrasounded in foal the week before we left for Nationals! We are just a "little"

We're expecting 2. One is due Dec. 31, 2006 - yes, that is correct! She's a maiden, so I'm expecting her to go past though! And the other is due the end of May. I prefer them to be due before March, but this last one is a new mare that was already bred when I got her.

I bred 4 this year. Haven't confirmed any of them. This is my stallion Heir's(in my avatar) first foal crop so I'm really excited. I'm pretty sure the first 2 are in foal....they only came in once and were covered well. They're also looking and acting pregnant. The first one is due end of March with #2 about 2 weeks later. The other 2 mares were bred later and aren't due till May/June. I'm going to have Dancer US in a couple of weeks because she is really hard to tell if she's in foal. Good luck to everyone with their 2007 foal crops! I think we need to start doing the "filly dance"......of course that involves moonlight and lack of clothes....so maybe we need warmer weather........just kidding! :bgrin

Two for us, unless we happen to sell the one mare, then we'd be down to only 1. Both these mares should be due around May 10th. Could be April 10th, though, at least for the one--Timie's last foal came at 296 days. Last year our foals all came between April 6th & May 1st, so if these mares go to May 10th this time, it's going to seem like a looooong wait! I'm hoping for fillies; it doesn't really matter since we will surely be keeping these babies, but with fillies we have no gelding expenses/worries! Fillies are easier! Last year we were evenly split, 2 colts 2 fillies.

We have possible 4 one to Manipulators Buckingham, one to Vermilyea Farms Olympus, one to our stallion Woodstock North 3 Doors Down and possibly a second one to him but havent ultra sounded that mare yet. Dancing Queen and Doors is foal is due the middle of January. Cant wait. We bred 4 mares hopefully everyone will remain in foal.

I only got one mare bred last spring. Between sleep deprivation (mare stare) and fighting pneumonia on and off, :new_shocked: thats all I got done. I do think she is pregnant as she hasn't cycled again and she is stalled between 2 stallions.

My other mares are still cycling and hope to get them bred in early Feb to Mar.

: Our first shows start in March and I hate dragging the mares along with, sense I won't leave them at home alone. You just know they would have them when we were gone.
