Oh wow, he's handsome! What kind is he? And what's that in the background? I'd love to visit your aunt's place some day, just like going to the zoo :aktion033:

Awesome boy. He looks like a Texas Long-Horn Bull

HE is a watusi and those legs in the background belong to a camel.

He is cute but I think in person, I'd find him cutest from the other side of the fence (chicken that I am!).

Wow! Very pretty. I'd probably stay on the other side of the fence, too, though. That or carry a paddle, lol. He looks too much like our old Brahma bull (minus those huuuuge horns, lol) and that sucker was meean.

lol i'd have guessed the "thing" in the back was a camel.. i was thinking that but was like NAHH how many people have camels..LOL....... guess my mind WASN'T playing tricks on me! I want a camel.. how much do those suckers cost (probably way more than i have..lol)?

What a handsome boy! Reminds me of a Longhorn too. I always am saying this...one day I'm going to get me a pair of mini cattle!

We were at our local crappy zoo once when a baby camel was born. The kids LOVED it. The guy at the zoo said that he gets around $5000 per camel, more for the females.

I heard of that before Rabbit, sounds familure. There known as the Cattle of Kings. Long horn are nothing compared to the Watusi. Long horn look like they have sticks off there head compared to Watusi.

Anybody want to break him to ride?

He wasnt happy that day as he had to have a TB test done and did you know they take the blood under the tail? And he had to have a tag put in his ear.

Yep Rabbit I looked it up, there the same thing.

When I first looked at the picture,,,,,,,,I thought the hay thingy in the background was on his head,,,like a crown.

But I like him!!!!!

no thanks....though he is impressive. Well,, then again..no one would tresspass in your pastures.

Ashley he is beautiful! I'd love to have him around here. We have an animal collector that has a couple of those and the Scottish Highlands, the shaggy coated cows.

We went to a "Animal Safari" park in Springfield, MO once and they had Watusi and Longhorns running together. They did interbreed. Talk about some funky looking horns. They were as big around as the Watusi and as long as the Longhorns. One poor boy couldn't even hold his head up. :new_shocked:

Yes yo can eat them but they would be expensive!!

Very lean meat too, little fat on it.

Actually, Ashley had you though of crossing him on a few domestic cows???

Actully he is going to be sold as we need new blood and we are keeping his daughters from this year.

IN fact there are two little cuties in the barn on the bottle right now.

Yea you could eat him, but I cant imaging 10 year old bull tasting good. Now they do say there isnt a age limit on when to butcher watusi, but I would think that fact he is a bull of that age his meat might not be that good.

I personally do not like watusi meat. My aunt used to raise steers for that purpose. I will eat the meet but not my favorite.

He hasnt been crossed but the past bulls at one time were crossed with beef.

Man! If we had our ranch in TX all ready, I'd be looking into buying him.
