well, I KNEW I shouldn't read this thread!! Darn, now I want a hyperbike too. I'll have to see if I can find the website and start saving up my pennies I guess LOL These things sound like just what I need for my cross country adventures. I drive my mare everywhere I would have ridden my saddle horse if the path is wide enough for my wheels but there have been a few instances where I had to dismount or both the horse and myself in the cart would have been tipped on our sides or worse.

Veeeerrrry helpful. so now I'm trying to figure out how to convince hubby that I NEED this thing and the time is right ... after all our dollar is close to par and the price will be higher if it looses ground against the US dollar lol,

Okay, you've gotten my attention...what, pray tell, does driving backwards have to do with training a horse???

Hi Sue,

If you've ever watched harness race trainers they start by sitting backward on the sulky. If the horse acts up you just step off the cart. The seat can't swivel unless you take your feet out of the stirrups. The stirrups stop you from moving side to side. Trust me I have taken this cart over TREES lying in the middle of the trail without getting out of the cart. LOVE LOVE LOVE my cart. I'm asking SANTA to make me another one for my BIG horses.

Good lord, what if your stirrup slipped or your foot came out of it? Then swwwwwwooooop!! Kerplunk.

I don't have a problem with a swivel seat but it better lock into place on its own.

By the way, Bob has made at least one that does that.

Hi Leia,

I get on here so seldom.....its nice to talk with you guys. Feet can't slip the stirrups wrap around your foot and have no slip grippy stuff on them. It comes in REALLY handy if you do alot of road driving you can swivel to see if traffic is coming up behind you. AGAIN I LOVE LOVE LOVE my sulky.
