TJ are you saying that if you did take him to the ER they would refuse to admit him???? If you got that impression (as I obviously did) and want him in the hospital I'd call for an ambulance to take him.

Just gotta add that I'd definitely be keeping complete detailed records of everyone you've talked to and what's been said in each conversation.

Ok, here's the deal. I talked it over w/ my daughter in law who's a cardiac nurse last night and I "USED" to be a nurse but a pediatric nurse 15 years ago then went to work at a blood bank so I'm WAY out of touch w/ stuff. And I told her he was just swollen, but his breathing was ok, he was NOT in distress and to take him to the ER they would probably JUST give him MORE Lasix's and send him home, they would NOT admit him.

SHE AGREED with me. So she said; seeing how he "had" been on a higher dose of the Lasix's that last night it probably wouldn't hurt him to take one more pill. So last night that's what I did I gave him one more.

This morning he had lost another 3 lbs and you can see his R foot/toes, and his belly is down. His legs are still swollen and L foot but it is also down. He is NOT SOB, it is manageable on the 40 mg of Lasix's at this point and I'm going to call tomorrow and find out IF we can move the appt up from Sept 1st to an earlier time. Hopefully so.

I'm NOT near as scared as I was. I swear he was death warmed over and w/o that 160 mg of Lasix's he'd ended up in the hospital. Now he has color in his face and body and he seems to be holding his own.

His BP med is giving him fits and has several side effects and we'll have to address that with his Dr when we see him. When we saw him at his appt. He didn't want to do anything just yet as he wanted to address his low pulse issue.

Again thanks guy's and I'll keep you updated as soon as we know more. Hugs, TJ
