I am back............

[SIZE=14pt]Hey all, I am back on.......power finally came back on this morning.......I thought I was going to die, a whole week with no power.......well we had the generator going to keep us warm, but I lost all the food and I think the vaccines as well in the fridge, and some of our appliances are smoked........The mini horses and donkeys are doing well, it was a challenge at times with the water, but we got the generator to run the well, so we could get them water.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=14pt]Oh lord I thin we aged 10 years in a week.

I would not wish that on anyone. Sorry I missed the party! I will get on and read and catch up on it all, but I have to do some things around the house first, and we have to go to town to get some groceries so may be later tonight before I get a chance to get back on........Just wanted to let you know I am ALIVE again!!!

Michele, Welcome back. I can't even to begin to imagine what you have been going through. We were really lucky here in Missouri. I am glad that your family and animals all made it through that mess. We were lucky in our area, just south of us on the other electric company they all lost their power. I just can't imagine how to be prepared for something like that.

Will send prayers out to those that have not been so lucky to have their power back on yet.

I can not imagine how terrible it was with no power!! Glad humans and animals are safe!

That everyone else's power returns, locally we had outages as well, but we were lucky...

I know what you are talking about ... it is awful. We were without power last year for 6 days...it was an experience

I do remember the Donkeys feeling completely content

they didn't have a clue??? they just slept in a dark barn at night ... that's all !!!

Michele, I am so glad to hear you got your power back on, and that everyone is safe including all your animals. The longest our power has ever been out has been two days, and it was horrible. We still had our Quarter horses, and was that a chore bringing them water.

Thank you so much for the gift. I love everything. Ce is trying to claim my donkey sitter. (Ce is my Mom) he is so cute, and fits perfect on my window ledge in the office.

[SIZE=14pt]oh my, i am sure you are tired out from that...in 98 we went 7 days with out power from an ice storm, we only had a few critters to take care of i can't imagine the work and stress you must have gone through with all you have. has a shower ever felt so good? glad everyone is o.k. and you are back

I will tell you by day 5.....I was breaking down crying over the smallest things......and when it snowed 12 inches and drifted made doing chores even harder, I was just walking and feeding and bawling and snot running all down my face!haha I was a vision of beauty let me tell you, but my horses and donkeys still loved me and where happy to see me, no matter how I looked, it was like they knew I was upset, just coming up for love like they knew I needed it!

OH, Michele, If I could come and help you, I would. (and I would bring YOU a big box of tissues) I did the same thing ...slipped and fell on the ice & set there and bawled till CHASEY and KITTY came up to me and started licking me...they got me laughing!
