My beautiful 8 year old Pommie died today while coming out of the Anesthesia after surgery to fix his last loose patella. He'd had the other one done last year and came through that fine. All the vets were soooo upset, they think it must have been a bloodclot that stopped his heart. Bonnie's going to talk to him tomorrow, just to see if he's still around and how he's feeling. Me? I've not cried this much or this often in many years.
Fizzgig was (as hubby Michael put it) our #1 son. He was the smartest little dog - to the point that he knew how to spell things! (Like c-h-e-e-s-e!) He sang, spoke, sat, down, crawl, did 3 different dances and 2 different begging positions, knew when I was happy or sad - knew the difference between when I left the house with him to go to the home office or to go to the car. Just the perfect dog - of any size.
Everyone who met him loved him - even cat people or people who didn't like little dogs! He will be missed... more than I can ever say.
I have to stop before I start sobbing again.... don't know how I'm going to sleep without my little Fizzy by my head!
