Okay thanks. Both her parents are paints too, black and white. She does have some paw prints.

So glad you guys don't think she is too fat! She is realy fuzzy. I just thought she was pretty fat because I can't feel her ribs at all. So she still needs to lose some fat before I take her to a show.

How much should I feed her?

THANKS!

I would have to agree with Matt, I would just feed hay until her weight is under control and then I would switch in some Blue Seal Carb Gaurd just a suggestion good luck

I can still feel her backbone. She just has some "rolls" on her sides and her neck has gotten a little thick. I will just feed her hay and a handfull of grain for a treat so she does not get too jealous over my other mini.

Also, I just noticed I was asked if there was a chance of her being bred. She was bought by a breeder(getting out of it, selling all minis) so I think they would be resonsible enough to not breed a filly not even 2 years old. I'm not even sure the earliest a mare can come in heat? They said she has never been with a stallion and I believe them.

Thanks again everyone!

Fillies can come into heet when they are a year old for sure, mine did last summer.

If you are planning on showing her? Most of the work should only be with conditioning! Once you start working her, she's going to need MORE food after awhile.........You just have to keep doing those touch-tests.
