[SIZE=12pt]I remember something about them not being too stable? Or they needed extra bracing? Could you please refresh my mind

I found a pair for an affordable price but thought I'd better ask everyone before I purchase

When we ordered our easy entry cart we ordered the runners at the same time l think they were just under 80 bucks for the set. Ours you take of the tires use the same screws and replace them with the runners l think there is a couple inches differance in the height of the cart from tires to runners not a lot but when you get in the cart you do notice you are kind of higher..it's a lot of fun we learned not to use ours in deep snow because it was harder for the horse to work and found that the runners are a whole lot different then the tires for turns and stops more slip and slide but once you get the hang of things no problem....bells on the back of the cart and a nice mild day with an open field is a blast...the only time we tipped the cart was going down the side of our road when it was hard to tell where the road ended and the ditch started because everything looked white and even..didn't bother the horse that we used that day he's an old hand at winter driving but the passenger being me slid of the seat and fell out into the ditch while the driver just kept going laughing like heck...

For people that do have them....what is the optimal snow conditions for these??? I'm in Utah and we get crazy winters here. Some snow, some not. Like today, we probably got 4 inches. Is powder good to drive in or a more packed down snow?? I'm thinking of getting them, but a lot of people locally have told me they are a waste of money. Guess they don't slide good and its just hard on the mini overall. But I'd sure love to go on them, but I don't want to waste money if they aren't as great as I think they would be. Opinions...please????

This is a pic of our Dandy stallion 32" tall, driving with a wood easy entry cart that we test drove. It worked fine on the snow packed gravel drive...but even just 4" of snow in the yard just off the driveway was too much. I dont know if the wire basket type easy entry would be good big lighter and he'd done ok or not....thats the only time I ever used sleigh runners or drove that wood one. He didnt have any problem as you can see on packed driveway snow just trotted like no big deal. I always wanted to try a roadster type cart with sleigh runners....light, compact....maybe with my 37.5" buckskin...more leg more power (dont tell Dandy I said that...tee hee)

Thanks Connie! We have a canal road that runs behind our house and onto a small road. I know the canal road never gets plowed, but the little road is packed down (cars driving on it). So they are good for packed down or light snow (over more packed down snow). And I was also thinking, it would be something to do with my 37" mini rather than a 32" mini (although he's the one that needs the exercise).
