I am so so sorry for your loss. We had the same thing happen this year (filly did not make it out of the sac). It is so devastating. I am sending hugs and prayers for healing.
WOW what nerve. I want to smack that lady!!!!! jerk. I'm sorry for your loss. We have have only missed two with the breeder alert in 10 years. We also use the pager, not the phone thing. We used milk strips and cameras as well. The last colt that was born, the mare didn't set off the monitor until he was already standing. I don't think she laid flat.I had a lady on facebook message me saying this is why you shouldn't breed because I don't have the proper set up, which I do, and this was no ones fault. I have a alert system, and cameras, more then a lot of the backyard idiots. I just wish some people would keep their stupid mouths shut. All my mares are taken care of and their are a couple I don't love, but this little mare was my first "quality" mini and the one I bonded with. I'm excited about showing her, and getting told I need to keep my only ringo foal this year.As long as I have my mare I'll be alright.
