I Lost Bea Tonight

After a year of on again off agind illness tonight May 10,2011 at 10:20pm My Dear sweet Yorkie that turned 13 on January 2nd passed away. I really didn't know it could hurt this bad.

I'm so sorry for your loss.I lost my15yr old Maltese, Lizzie, a few weeks ago. I always think that it's not so bad when they are very old and have had a wonderful life full of love and good food............but it is. Now I'm crying again.

Thank you all for your warm wishes. This last time she was only sick for about 2 weeks. At about 9pm last night she lost her ability to swallow. I knew it would not be long after that. She passed in my arms at 10:20. What makes it so hard is she always sat in my chair at the computer with me. This one is gonna take some time to get over.

On another note we are having puppies (Japanese Chins) in about a week. Not that any of them could ever take Bea's place.

Im so sorry. Art and I are looking at facing it also with Okie, our 1/2 Coyote 1/2 Aussie. She will be 10 this Xmas. I wish they could stay with us much longer than they do...Hugs to you...

It DOES hurt bad. It hurts like no one who doesn't own a dog and loves it to pieces can ever understand. I am so sorry. I know the pain you are feeling as I've been there, and believe me, I understand.
