I got a wonderful camera last July for my birthday. A pretty expensive Canon Powershot s70.
Well I posted on here a while ago about me accidently pouring lens cleaner directly on the lens. I couldn't find the instructions anywhere so this is what I assumed you do. Suddenly the screen turned black so you guys told me to leave it alone for 3 days which is what I did and it cleared up except for a few drops. A month ago it totally stopped working. The lens remained extended and when I turned it on a chattering noise was made while it was on and the screen froze.
We sent it out a few weeks ago to Canon and a few minutes ago we got a phonecall. The camera is unrepairable. Of course the expensive things are unrepairable due to small, silly reasons. I am pretty upset because my dad got me this camera and everything he gets me I cherish.
The guy is bringing it to his supervisor tomorrow. It doesn't look good so I am just going to go mope about. I was looking forward to my camera all fixed, guess not.
