Those rosette ribbons are easy to display, but I'm hoping for some tips about ways to display neck sashes and strip ribbons!

Any ideas?

My mom uses my neck sashes from when I showed QHs. She uses them to tie back the curtains.

I used all my flat ribbons to make frames to show off pictures of my horses. The rest I used as borders in scrapbook albums.

I dont keep my flat ribbons or well most of my ribbons anymore i keep them on our farm sign till the end of the show and then give them back to the show.

But for the neck sashes I have a peice of lattice hanging in my living room so I can put our Nationals ribbons and the neck sashes on them it looks pretty good

Just wanted to give this a bump... From way back when! I'm seriously thinking of taking some pinking sheers to ours and then putting them back together to be more like "normal" ribbons. Before I do though, I wanted to try again for some alterative ideas. They're some of the ribbons I am the most proud of but have no idea how to display them in an attractive way!

PS though I am having some ideas from Lisa's idea, or maybe a frame w/ chicken wire...

Wonder if any of our quilters could turn some of them into a dislpay quilt fot you? Can't think of her name right off, however, perhaps the lady that donated the ribbon totes for the $3 CMHR fund-raiser could point you in the right direction...Julie

I've thought about a quilt, but I'm wanting the full "details" perserved with the ribbon for display. I love the way the totes look, but don't want to use the ribbons for those, but a quilt has potential!

I can do ribbon totes or small wall hangings with ribbons, but I am wondering about a quilt display rack for hanging ribbons. Or even a shelf with a pole underneath. Could put other awards or photo on shelf and hang the ribbons on the pole under it.

Dannigirl - I'm still somewhat new to this forum/board. I'd love to see pics of your totes and small wall hangings with Ribbons. Do you already have them posted in the gallery somewhere?

I'd like to do something simple myself - but with a vinyl display window that can diplay an 8x10 photo or 2 5x7 photos. Maybe something that can be attached to stall curtains?? Figured the printed out pic could be laminated so that it will hold up while tucked into the vinyl pocket (s) at shows. What do you think? If it works, I have some ideas for donations with that...

Also - Lisa - pictures? I'm not picturing how to utilize lattice to hang ribbons from - in the house? Or in the barn?

I have a couple from Merry Beth. You could frame them in one of those really big poster frames you can get at Walmart. A lot would fit in there. That would help keep them from getting discolored and also from dust.

You could weave them, use some of the iron on stuff to glue the woven cloth onto a backing and make some really nice cushion covers...

There are a few in different places here and on my facebook page. If you email me at [email protected] I can email you some pictures if you want.

Wanted to let you know I just received a ribbon wall hanging done by Dannigirl (Angie). It's 29 by 55 inches and beautiful! Hopefully she will post some pictures of it. The price was very reasonable too.

Here is Renee's Wall hanging--or at least the best photo I was able to get of it.

Bringing this up again because my SIL has several neck sash ribbons and she took some rails from my grandfathers fallen down 3 rail fence and made a 2 rail fence section in her house. It's about 3' tall and 4' long. She only used two rails and she hangs her sashes from the rails. She moves the end post and slides them on the rails then replaces the end post. It looks really great because she has done a wester theme in her whole house so the fence in the living room doesn't look out of place.
