ITS SO SLOW!!! and its not like i live in the middle of nowhere, i live in the city, limits... anyway, i can still get on the internet, but all i can do is get on here, and that takes 10 minutes....and im not the only one.

My friends have been having trouble with their computers too. But, they cant even get on the internet anymore. I have a anti-virus thing i updated yesterday, and its still slow. Is there something im missing??? what should i do to fix it or make the internet faster!!! IM SO MAD LOL!

Sorry to hear you are having problems, I have dial up and it is also slow. Have you tried to clean your fan?

Same thing here.About 10 days ago HP did some kind of automatic something and really screwed up my computer.contacted them and they tried fo 3 days to fix problem.called me yesterday and told me computer is running so slow it keeps cutting them off.Guess who won't be paying that $150 bill-called american Express and got that going.Local guy is coming soon to pick up tower to go in shop.Having withdraw already.I have a modem and high speed internet and it is now slower than when I had dial up-can't even get on some sites and it freezes up sometimes. Very frustrating.I'm so dependent on this thing.

Do you turn it off every time you get off and then turn it back on every time you go on? That makes it really slow and plus it waste TONS of electricity for it to pump up every time you turn it on that it would just sitting on all day. Interent explorer tends to bit a lot slower than google, try google chrome--its so much faster and easier! =) You can download it for free =)

Do you have other devices in your house that use internet? Like ipods/zunes/ ipads/tablets or laptops? idk Good luck! =)

Mine seems to be having a battery problem tonight. It (laptop) is always plugged into the wall. Only took it off for a couple short minutes last night to hook it to the printer and copy one page. Then reconnect to the wall receptacle. Never had it do it before. It is almost gone now-a hair left. I probably won't get to check back here. It's an HP too. We use a router-antennae comes in into bedroom and laptop sits in livingroom-printer in bedroom (big photosmart printer).

Mine is an HP laptop too. Thats funny that its all HPs so far??? Hmm.

Riverrose, I dont know how to clean it. Do i blow the dust off LOL??

Lil Eowyn, do you mean turn it off manually? Because I do at night. I only use this thing after i get home from school. On the weekends though i will just close it and it will "hibernate" or whatever until i get back. We have a home desktop computer, my laptop, and my dad has his iPad.

Found my battery problem. Part of the two-part power pack plug was undone-Duhhhhhhhhhh!

Wow, I guess I'm wrong--I thought that it would save electricity if you left it on 24/7 than turning it off and on but I looked it up and they said thats what some pople (like me;)) think, but really, it saves when you turn it off at night. So if you only use it after school, then you can turn it off when your done, then leave it off until you get home from school unless someone else uses it during the day--anyway, sorry for confusing you XD

Some times a system restore to a time before it started acting that way will fix it.

Also spybot.com You can run it and it'll take off all the spyware and bugs you collect on the internet.

Couldn't hurt
