Things have been plenty messed up since after Christmas here- and thus, plenty hard. Our car died- we could have repaired it, but the cost wasn't worth it. Then in very early Janurary, my beloved and adored step-dad had a massive heart attack andemergency bypass surgery- but has come out of it amazingly.

The final straw was hubby's work. His boss pulled him into the office three times in five days for an hour or better each time, mostly to complain that he "wasn't doing his job". One of these was a continuation of the rant that had started on the day prior to a WEEKEND! Worse, when his boss complained hubby wasn't doing his job, and hubby pointed out that by the SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) he was doing his job... his boss wentoff on how my DH has just peeved him off.

Well, the third time (the time after the weekend) hubby had had enough- he quit!!! We'd already discussed going home, and by that time has decided we were going to do it- but we needed to wait till we got the money from Tax returns to do it. Still, it's been around two weeks since he quit- there's been some pretty major stressful moments, mixed with highs and lows... but the fact we're all FINALLY going home makes it all ok!!

DH should see his tax return tomorrow, but it may be as last as the 14th. We plan to move ASAP, but the actual "date" we have planned at the moment is the 15th... just 6 days!!! I'm just SO HAPPY!!

We'll all three be flying home, because it's actually cheaper now to have someone move our stuff for us (when we moved to OH, it was cheaper to do it ourselves).... which means I still have some packing to do, and stuff.... but my goodness. I can't believe it's almost here!!! After THREE YEARS!

Nathan will finally get to meet his maternal grandmother & step-dad, and his "auntie"- my best friend. He's going to finally have family around, and he'll get to see cats and dogs. It'll be odd seeing my neice and nephew (My original "kids"- I helped raise them), who have grown soooo much since I left, in so many ways...

Anyone in Oregon want some stable help, and mind going easy on a mildly bi-polar, socially anxious, very timid me?? LOL We'll be staying with my mother, about 1/2 an hour west of Salem (a lil place called Willamina, OR) until we get back on our feet. I'm going to learn to drive ASAP- there's no way I am living in the same state as my best friend and not going to go visit her! Oh boy.

Ahh, well, someone *cough*Nathan*cough* is getting really upset and wanting breakfast, so I'll go now and spare you all anymore of my ramblings

I lived in Willamina for a VERY short time as a little kid. I think I only spent maybe 2-3 years out of my life on the "wet" side, all the rest have been the "dry" side. Such a pretty area over there!!!

Let us know when you get settled and I'll pray that everything goes smoothly for the transition!!!!

Sometimes going home is the best medicine. I left our local area at 18, it was to small a town for that age, mom found out EVERYTHING going on. After 10 years of getting it out of my system and being ready to settle down Scott and I came here and haven't regretted it at all, we'd do it again in a heartbeat!

I hope we can meet in the near future, either at one of the shows or at another time.

Congratulations and I will continue to hope that your move goes smoothly!

Keep us updated as you can.

I remember well how often you've wished you were back in Oregon...congratulations!

I hope you plan on coming to some miniature horse gatherings...the Boring show March 31-April 2, the Oregon Gold Show in Eugene end of April (I think) the Oregon State Fair in Salem, of course, at the end of August...and a whole lot more.

I hope we can meet soon...if you get up to the northwest corner of the state, there's a whole bunch of us.

I can't blame you for wanting to come home to Oregon! I hope it will bring you better luck in the future. I have 2 pinto shows in Albany this year....you should come check it out!
