My coming 2yo stallion, DunIT, is a Yellow Diamond Little Feather and Ima Boones Little Buckeroo Too grandson. I have a website about DunIT here: DunIT's Web Page.

DunIT is an AMHR National Top 10 halter horse, AMHA Honor Roll, and multiple first places and Reserve Grands in AMHA. He is a very fancy grey-grullo boy

We have a son of Yellow Diamond Little Feather in the show barn right now. To be shown in '07. A wonderful little (30") few spot leopard senior stallion. Gorgeous, short little head, upright neck, SHORT back, big hip, refined bone and he can MOVE! Real pretty trot on this boy.

Here is a pic of him......actually, there is a young mare on the Auction selling with a breeding to him! Somebody is going to get a heck of a deal!

We are really excited about having him on our show string next year!

I have a black daughter of his-- Hunt House Farms Feather Prancer. She is a wonderful horse and my daughter is showing her in performance classes. She's done respectfully in halter too.

This is Silver Bluff Feathers Galore a direct daughter amd wonderful producer. The filly at her side is her 06 filly Cheyenne so is a granddaughter and of course we are keeping her!

This is DD and she is a granddaughter but unofficial as her dam had to be hardshipped and they wont list her parentage.

And finally here is another granddaughter, another lovely out of Gala above. This is Fancy and she, DD and Gala herself are all "homogzgous" appys (far as we can tell) So we have been real happy with our Little Feather offspring.

By the way, I have an old issue of the Miniature Horse World on the auction that has Yellow Diamond Little Feather on the cover, and another that has him on the back!

Here's one of his grandsons - Little Wee Feather's Legacy. He started out dark, but was sold young & it's one of the very few customers I've lost touch with, so we never got to see how he finished. Sheila Archer of the Appaloosa Project said he could be homozygous for app because of his sky eyes (extreme sclera) & really dark dark pink hooves.

I have a Yellow Diamond Little Feather daughter; MCC Feathers Silver Streak, who is a 32" silver/gray with mottling. She is a Supreme Halter Champion mare, Reserve National Champion, Multi National Top Five mare......and she is a young mare with three colts so far, and they have all shown at Nationals and all placed there too, a Reserve National Champion yearling colt (Ringo) and then DunIT was shown as a weanling to a Top ten and Streaker as a weanling to a top ten and will be out again as a yearling next year. Silver is VERY snappy in her movement and all of her foals are too, they have that hesitation to them at the trot.

I have a granddaughter of Bozemans Frosty Feather, sired by Little Feather. Can anyone say what color Little Feather really was? Seems that there are some duns coming from that line- and it is hard to tell in the pic what he REALLY is??? This is Dream Catcher. She will be expecting a foal by my leopard stallion Renegade in the spring and I am really excited!!

I just saw your question. I think its safe to say Little Feather himself is an appy dun. Of the 3 offspring of his I have owned 1 is a classic red dun and another may well be a red dun but her appy color hides it and the other is black. In order to produce duns he has to be a dun when bred to non dun mares and he has produced a LOT of duns.

AHA!!! Thanks for your reply hairicane! Yes, I had noticed that there seemed to be a lot of dilute offspring from him and that line..... Interesting!!
