Complain, complain, complain. Anyone else ready to tear their hair out?

I just had to come to the forum to take a little break and wind down from hustling and bustling before I have a heart attack. This is the only place I get to sit down and have a pepsi. How I got behind I have no idea but I did. Nothings ready, I'm exhausted, and now we have some kind of winter storm trying to arrive. Feel my joy. Heck I haven't even had a minute to sit down and play some Christmas Carols on my piano and I need a tune up as bad as it does.

Still to do:

Wrap presents

Laundry

Clean up this house

Shop for something to have for Christmas dinner

Oh crap I don't have any baking done yet either. Thank heavens for Sara Lee! I'll totally do a cheater pie! YIP YIP YIP

and lets not forget cleaning stalls and feeding and doing gobs ribbons on everyone

PS: If anyone needs me please don't email. I cannot sit at this computer. You'll need to call me! Then if I am still alive, I'll talk to you.

PPS: Santa I know I've been a real hop in the rear this year but cut me some slack cause I'm getting OLD

Are you kidding me? This is the time of year you love. And one thing I have learned over the years reading this forum is that your house is spotless, you love running around like a chicken with it's head cut off and if you don't collapse from exhaustion on Xmas day you aren't happy. You aren't fooling anyone. Merry Christmas!

I to am pretty behind.. I have to wrap all the presents was going to do it last night but just could not seem to get myself in the mood and went roller skating instead LOL

so now I have to straighten up- clean barn- wrap presents all in a couple of hours before my family arrives and yet here I sit on the computer.

Merry Christmas Marty

It's nice to hear you complain a little Marty. Every year when you write your long stories about your holiday plans I feel like an underachiever. This year I tried to do Christmas the Marty/Martha way, but next year I think I'll go back to procrastinating. Don't know how you do it! Every hour of the day is planned (yes even my forum time right now), so I nearly had a nervous breakdown when I got stuck in our driveway yesterday. Now there's cat litter and huge ruts all over our drive. While I was out there shoveling I told Santa all I wanted for Christmas was to get out of the friggin' drive, and then our right-hand man, Dick, came along and pushed me out. So that's the last complaining I'm going to do (outside my head) until after Christmas. Merry Christmas everyone!

Marty, I hear you: I haven't wrapped the gifts yet or helped Santa stuff the stockings; my oven is broken so I'll be cooking at my gracious neighbor's house; my house is a pit and the vacuum's on the fritz; laundry is piled high and dishes, too... yet here I am, on the computer and on the LB forum. But..... My kids are happy, the tree is lovely (even though the carpet isn't) and instead of working really hard at cleaning I'll make cookies (to bake at the neighbor's

) and call my brother to gab for a while.

Finally got the house all cleaned up thanks to the Love Child giving me a hand. Guessin he's not taking a chance with Santa on the way. Went shopping and came home with:

Spiral ham

yams

julian potatoes

corn

green beans

dinner rolls

Desert

I'll make a pinapple upside down cake

jello with fruit

banana bread

Here's my tiny little Christmas table, pretty pitiful I know but if you came, we'd pull out some extra chairs and you'd be welcomed.

The table looks lovely....and your frantic post made me feel better.

I was running down your list and was able to "check" off almost everything. The MAN drove to town with some last minute items, though.......I still have two pies to bake, but decided to wait until tomorrow.....Was afraid the local elves would dig in if I baked today.

Just wondering.....WHY do we do this to ourselves???? LOL.

You think you're behind... Our power went off for an hour and a half, right around dinner time. We cooked supper on a BBQ grill, and as soon as it was done cooking, the power came back on.

We have simple supper on Christmas Eve, scrambled eggs at my in-laws, then gifts. [Tomorrow, we go to my mom's.]

I am soooo ready now cause its nearing midnite.

I'm still fighting off pneumonia since Thanksgiving so I loaded up on my meds so I'm slowing down now finally. I think that's why I've not been at the top of my game this holiday season. I wrecked my back too last week so I've been grumpy. After being in high gear now, I'm ready to curl up now and wait for the predicted snow fall and keep an eye out on the night sky. My Archangel is close by me tonite.

Baked a pineapple upside down cake.

Made a fruity desert that involves fruit and whipped cream.

Washed, dried, and put up two loads of clothes.

Set the dinner table.

Everything is cleaned up.

Packages under the tree.

Called Connie and Gini to bug them and see what they were doing.

Watching White Christmas with Amy and Devin. Hus went to bed. Dan is in his room playing some game. I keep knocking on the door for him to let me in so I can read him our traditional poem "Twas the Night Before Christmas" and he keeps telling me to quit banging on his door because he 21 and knows how it goes. Gosh, what a bunch of party poopers. Oh well..... to all a good night.
