I woke up about midnight to the strangest sound, went and looked outside and something was falling on the ground. I opened the door and it was wet! It has been so long since I heard that sound and saw that sight. Thank You God for listening to all our prayers.

Finally, maybe we will have a day without having to be on constant guard about fires.

We've also been without rain for a long time, though not quite as long as you. Here in my area of SW Missouri we're in extreme drought and this rain is a HUGE welcome sigh of relief.

I pray that it rains all day!

Here too! We're not QUITE as far behind on rainfall as you are, but close  And some idiot set 10 grass fires in one night Thursday in Benton Co.....WTH???? Hopefully this rain will soak in really, really well. Of 3 ponds here, we have 1/2 of ONE left!

It rained here, too! At about 7:00 this morning, I woke to the most beautiful sound of raindrops on the roof

Now, it needs to rain ALL DAY!

That's good news!! We've been watching the fires and drought conditions in your part of the world on our news up here and hoping you folks would get some rain.

Up here, we've finally ended a 7-year drought. It's snowing like gang-busters right now--so pretty. Those of us who irrigate are doing a happy dance. And those of us wanting to work our ponies are stuck doing laundry instead. It's OK though; it will be dry enough all too soon.

YAHOOO :aktion033: :aktion033: :aktion033: I hope this rain helps everyone is the extremely dry areas. We're suppose to be getting a rain/snow/sleet mix starting later todaythru tomorrow. This weather is very unusual for this time of year. Corinne
