I have the trailer hooked to the truck and I'm off to the lumber yard for the supplies needed to divide a big horse stall into TWO mini stalls. Tweet will finally be in her permanent home. My neighbor VOLUNTEERED to plow my driveway AND MY CART PATH for FREE! The weather will be PERFECT for working in the barn. Horses are HEALTHY, LIFE IS GOOD! My latest mini craft project is almost done and it turned out WAY COOL! Take care and have FUN this weekend.

I woke up this morning, thats always a great start. A friend is coming tomorrow to get the grass out of my arena so we can start driving in it, I have a drag now to keep it worked up. I am having friends over Sunday for a cookout. My best mare is in foal for next year, my first homebred since Audie died, and she is in foal to a Reserve World Grand Champion. I love my job.

Only one thing would make it a perfect world for me.

I'm having a really hard time finding my "Joy" this morning, so am thankful to happen upon this thread.

I've received word that our new mare was picked up yesterday, and our new stallion will be picked up today, then will layover in Kentucky for the weekend, and then on their way HOME come Monday or Teusday of next week. Lord willing.

I want so much to be happy about that, but I'm just having a hard time for now. Dear Lord, please help me find my joy today?

my hubby, who is undergoing chemo for kidney cancer, had an appointment with a dermatologist yesterday to have a suspicious spot on his arm looked at. it turned out to be PREcancerous, the doctor simply froze it and sent us on our merry way. small victories...i keep telling myself small victories are still victories!

and as if that wasn't enough to make my week wonderful, my hubby surprised me with a brand spankin' new Frontier mini cart for our anniversary. it's all put together and ready to rock 'n' roll. i can't wait to try it out this weekend!

I just rammed the garden tractor into a fence and now it's hung up and I can't get it loose.

Oh drat.......I am in sooooooo much trouble with the boss now.......he told me not to touch it

And this morning, it actually felt COOL!

Got the new compter up and runnung that a co-worker built for me. Tom built it from scratch so all it cost was parts and a case of Coors Light. The old one fried after a direct lightning strike to the transformer on the corner of our property. Added bonus - Tom was able to get all my picture and website off the old hard drive.

Life is good :aktion033:

I have been with out a dog since Tiger was put to sleep last March. I got the word last night I have been approved to adopt a little female mutt.

Unlike most of you we do not have a lot of mutts in our area. The only dogs in the papers are registered or designer dogs. The shelters around here bring dogs in from Puerto Rico, southern states and western states. The Sterling Animal Shelter has Wed as the day they release the newest shipments of dogs and they have people in line before the gates open.

I saw a small female on line at a local rescue and sent in an application to adopt her. No idea what breed she is and it does not matter to me. She is a female, fixed, short hair and the size I want. I had a phone interview and a home inspection. They gave me a lot of information on her personality and I felt she would be a good match for me, my family and my crazy cat. I have been approved. My little girl is leaving Michigan in the morning and will be home with me by late Sunday afternoon.

My little itty bitty kitty has gained almost a pound since seeing the vet two weeks ago.

3-4 weeks ago, I bought a tiny barn kitten into the house; very little, very skinny and had a kitty cold.

My husband finally broke down and took him to the vet two weeks ago. He weighed only 1.25#; the vet wormed him and put him on antibiotics. We stopped at my mom's after the appointment and the little guy threw up; I think he threw up the wormer and antibiotics. Anyway, he didn't seem to be gaining much weight; so Tuesday, I dewormed him again, weighed him and he was only 1.6#. I weighed him tonight and he is now 2.1#, so we are making progress. OH, and he's a fiesty little thing.

[SIZE=14pt]work wasn't so nice today and when i saw this topic i passed over it, couldn't think of anything good when i was angry, hurt and had a pounding head. i went out to the barn wormed, brushed and kissed and hugged everyone and when i can back in the house i realized my headache was gone and life isn't so bad...just has a few people in it to try to make it bad...but i have to ignore them and focus on what's important to me...my family, my true friends and my critters all 24 of them...my animals are never rude and love me, faults and all, just like i love them

Oh yeah show season is over for me this year now it's time to relax and live life normally again. Next year I'll be attending Nationals. The horses love me now all the show mares running in the fields of grass what a lovely sight. Funny theres nothing to eat up there with this drought this summer. Oh and the weather was soooooo nice today the morning was cool to a point where I was chilled but I didn't mind I love it. Tomarrow I'm going to spend a day with my aunt and her two children nicholas 8weeks Ben 3yrs and my grandma and my little sister it should be a lovely day I haven't spent a day with them in a long time so it'll be nice. We're supposed to go shopping in Frankenmouth. Hope you all have a great weekend and drive safe the holidays can be crazy
