Was waiting for a foal to be born one night & killing time, stuck my lens thru to the run-in & snapped this photo. Yeah, they love their run-in..Mama & babies. Some theirs, some not! .........anyone else got pix of their horses sleeping? Love to see 'em. :bgrin

I don't have any pictures but have observed that my horses like napping even more than I do. They really do have a pretty set schedule. They all seem to take naps around 10am, and then again in early afternoon.

Awwww ... how sweet they are! And I hadn't realized before that in my original pix in my post, the babies are all (except for that little rebel to the right) sleeping in the middle of a circle of mares. How sweet is THAT?

We can learn about horse/herd behavior, even when they are sleeping. And the pix you folks posted make me again realize what angels they are. Especially the foals.

Here's some others. I guess I'm fascinated with anything they do...

The pictures are absolutely adorable!!! I was tickled yesterday when I went to spy on Jelly who was laying down. I quietly walking into her stall and she continued to lay and then rolled over on her side and let me pet her. I almost laid down in the shavings with her. I was so pleased that she has been with me less than a week and trusted me.
