Finally got all the outside done so have been working on getting the stalls in, taking a while as the holes for the posts take forever thanks to the hard, clay Ohio dirt lol
The divider in the picture is a permanent divider, one goes in every two stalls to divide off the big foaling stalls, then we'll be putting in dividers similar to this though removable to divide the foaling stalls into two individual stalls.. Will end up having 6 total foaling stalls but 13 individual stalls.. The odd stall is going to have both permanent sides that are taller than these dividers so we can use it as an isolation/stud stall, no nose-to-nose contact..
(and yes that's my handsome Doc in the background
)
Have all the posts set on this side, just have to hang the gates and build the walls/dividers, have the first wall built on the other side so we can start lining up post holes and setting the posts..
Also got our observation window in, overlooks the first two stalls on the opposite side than the stalls above which I plan on using as the main foaling stall, wanted the window so I could look in on the mare without going into the barn and disturbing her, and also so I can look in on mare/foal while getting supplies or to pass supplies from office to whomever is tending to mare/foal
And a cute one of Mr. TJ
