I was very honored that Vic came to visit me today! I had him all to myself for 4 whole hours! First I got to hug him, them I re-hugged him and told him that was from MinimomNC. Karrel had not yet left for work, so he got to meet Vic too! Karrel emailed me later and said he'd wished he could have visited with Vic longer.

Vic met all the horses. I wish he had let me harness up Danny for a drive! Funny, I had threatened Vic that I might sic Queenie on him and it turned out that Queenie indeed did follow Vic around and was a pest. He got to go in and pet Lotto and Lotto did try to steal Vic's shoe (Lotto has a shoe fetish)

Then we came inside and talked a long time and had more hugs (and some tears) What a wonderful man he is! It was great to meet him and spend time with him! Then I made us some lunch. We had roast beef on sour dough bread with jack cheese, onions, tomato, etc. Black olives, tater salad and mac salad. I did have cinnamon rolls and coffee for after, but we were both too full!

Then we went outside and talked some more. I felt like I've known him a long time and I'm glad I got to meet him. He's family! What a wonderful, special man. I hope he can come back again some day!

Vic, if your daughter is still hooked up and you see this, Thank you for coming. It meant a lot to me.

I am glad I got my hugs in even if it was long distance. And even more happy that one of my favorite people in the whole world got to have a wonderful visitor today.

Oh your post gave me tears Robin. I know how much he was looking forward to meeting you.

For One thing I think the pleasure was all mine. It was worth the drive to meet Reo and her cute little guys (and girls) It did not take long to pick out a favorate but I didn`t have room in the back of the truck ( Like I need another horse right now). She was an excellent host and treated me to an excellent lunch. Four hours did seem to go by quickly. I am getting a wee bit put out. I have invited many people to eat out with me (including Reo but so far only Lucy took me up on the offer.

Oh Vic, maybe we just wnat you to ourselves eh? Hard to talk in public, and isn't home made yummier? We're just trying to help you gain a few needed pounds right Robin!

Vic, you just head over here to North Carolina, I will let you take me to lunch, dinner, snack, all three, you just pick and we will make a party of it. This crowd in the east doesn't need much of a reason to go out and eat, heck we have our club meetings in a restaurant just so people will come to them.

Vic, if you come back tomorrow, I'm going to ask Karrel to trim some hooves! Now I'm wondering which horse you wanted to take away LOL! It would serve you right if you meant Queenie! She was looking for you at the gate later.

Vic, I hope you will go see Karen (MinimomNC) She's awesome! And if you do, ask her to hug you for me!

Vic, you are so lucky to have met Robin!! I am looking forward to meeting my wonderful forum friend but I am going to have to wait until September.

: Hope you gave her a big hug for me!! :bgrin

Hey Vic,

Since you are going through some serious life changes with your divorce, selling your home and will have free time, why don't you put some serious thought into getting a motor home and traveling? So many people on this forum care about you and would love to meet you that you could spend a year going around the country visiting and would probably be the best way to start fresh and figure out where you want to live. It's perfectly okay to take a year of "me" time and I can't think of a more wonderful way to spend it. My door is always open.

Funny you should say this Kathi, I was thinking the very same thing and was planning to suggest it later on. What a super year he could have looking all over and finding just the perfect place. Vic, any thoughts?

Wow Kathi, what a neat idea! I'm not sure Vic can get on line today (I hope he can) because his daughter is packed up and they are moving today. To make sure he sees your idea, I'll copy it and email it to him to read when he gets back to Canada. I love your idea! Everyone should get a chance to meet him! Maybe he'll move down here (by his daughter) and go to Nationals and World! Pam, then he could "try" to keep us out of trouble LOL!

I agree! What a great idea Vic! I can just see it now. You could take along the dog, keep a journal and write it all down and call it "Travels with Vic" (Can't remember the name of your dog now) ..

Might even pick up a forum member along the way to travel along the way with , then drop off. Wow sounds like a plan to me! Go for it Vic! Maxine
